KENOSHA, Wis. - The Northern Michigan University volleyball team was edged on the road in five sets Tuesday to Wisconsin-Parkside, 20-25, 25-16, 25-22, 19-25, 19-17, at DeSimone Gymnasium in Kenosha, Wis.
Senior Lina Lopes led NMU with 20 kills and senior Kalli Herron had 18. As a team, the Wildcats finished with 67 total kills for a .161 attack percentage. Senior setter Kellisha Harley ended the night with 48 assists.
Sophomore Alex Berger led the defense with 22 digs, Lopes added 15 and freshman Meghan Supple and Harley each had 13.
The Wildcats return home this weekend for its first two GLIAC matches. NMU hosts Saginaw Valley State at 7 p.m. on Friday and Lake Superior State University at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
