MARQUETTE, MI. - Laura L. Himes, age 34, of 316 Pine St. #517, Marquette passed away on Sunday, Sept. 8, 2013 at her home in Marquette.

Laura was born May 4, 1979 in Minneapolis, MN the daughter of Susan G Hardiman and Jon Marc Himes. She moved to the Marquette area as an infant, where she was raised. Laura had attended the Rochester Community College in Rochester, MN. Laura enjoyed spending time with her fiance, Dennis Sabo, her family and her friends, especially her recovering and her church friends along with her pets Meredith and Mona. She liked to express herself in her painting along with cooking. She was a member of the Independent Apostolic Lutheran Congregation.

Survivors include, Fiance - Dennis Sabo of Marquette, Father Jon Marc (Rene') Himes of Negaunee, Mother - Susan Hardiman and her close friend Susan Bellanger of Big Bay, Sister Amy (Brandon) Boesl of Ramsey, MN, 4 Brothers Adam (Lisa) Himes of Plymouth, MN, Silas (Sarah) Himes of Rumley, MI, Matthew (Alina) Himes of Minneapolis, MN and Eric (Natalie) Dawe of Duluth, MN, 17 nieces and nephews, along with a host of brothers and sisters in faith.

She was preceded in death by two brothers Jacob Himes and Andrew Dawe, and a cousin, Thomas Stark.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 10am 11:30am on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at the Independent Apostolic Lutheran Congregation, Co. Rd 492, Negaunee. Funeral services will follow at 11:30am on Thursday at the Independent Apostolic Lutheran Congregation with Chas Prusi to officiate. Interment will take place at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Chatham.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be directed to the Great Lakes Recovery Center at their website, great lakesrecovery.org, or 201 Rublein St. Suite A, Marquette, MI 49855 or a charity of ones choice.
