Colton M. Steinhorst

ASHWAUBENON, WI. - Colton M. Steinhorst, 4, of Ashwaubenon, became an angel and received his wings on Tuesday afternoon, September 3, 2013 surrounded by his family.

He was born on October 9, 2008 in Green Bay to Jeff and Tara (Williams) Steinhorst. Colton was an amazing boy who was courageous and had a contagious smile. He was extremely generous and was eager to share, often with total strangers. Colton loved adventures, anything from picnics on the porch to flying an airplane. He enjoyed riding Splash Mountain at Disney World and was the biggest Packers fan. Colton will be remembered as a loving son, brother, grandson and friend.

He is survived by his loving parents, Jeff and Tara; brother, Camden; sister, Kylin; paternal grandmother, Jannie Poo Steinhorst; maternal grandmother, Debbie (Bob Lantto) Williams; maternal grandfather, Michael (Sharon) Williams; uncles and aunts, Tanner Williams, Greg (Terry) Steinhorst, Amy Rathsack, Connie (Daniel) Zehner, Mary Jo (Dennis) McAbee; and many other cousins, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Eugene Steinhorst.

Friends may call at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 2270 S. Oneida St., on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Parish wake service 7:30 p.m. Friday at the church. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the church until the time of Mass. Memorial Mass 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with Rev. John H. Harper officiating. Proko-Wall Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be sent to the Colton's Cure Foundation PO Box 7288 Appleton, WI 54912 or to the family.

The family would like to thank Dr. John Kiser, the doctors and nurses of Children's Hospital of Colorado and the American Family Children's Hospital in Madison, County Rescue and Eagle III for all of their care and support, everyone who has sent him a piece of happy mail and helped us achieve the items on his Bucket List.

Also, to all the friends and family for the love and support on this journey.
