MOWA dedicates Hemingway plaque

The Michigan Outdoor Writers Association recently installed a plaque commemorating Ernest Hemingway's visit to the Upper Peninsula. Shown, from left,t are the speakers from the dedication: Hemingway's nephew Jim Sanford, Michigan Department of natural Resources Director Keith Creagh, MOWA project organizer Dennis Knickerbocker, Seney Township Supervisor Don Reed, and MOWA President David Graham. The plaque is located in the East Branch of the Fox River State Forest Campground, not far from where Hemingway camped north of Seney.
