SOUTH RANGE, Mich. - Edward Eugene LaTourneau at the age of 60 entered into the arms of his Lord on August 23, 2013, surrounded by his loving family, after a two year courageous battle with cancer.
Ed was born May 29, 1953, in Marquette, to William and Thelma (Ingison) LaTourneau. He was a graduate of MSHS, and continued his education at NMU Skill Center for TV repair. Later he followed his love of baking by becoming a baker for various bakeries in Marquette and Houghton. He was an avid cribbage player, enjoyed golfing and shooting pool. His favorite pastimes included metal detecting, listening to music, fishing and being an enthusiastic fan of the Green Bay Packers. His sense of humor knew no limits, like the love he had for his family.
Ed is survived by loving wife, partner and best friend Jill (Chapin) LaTourneau. His two sons, Ed (Kelly) LaTourneau and Christopher LaTourneau both of Mosinee, WI, and daughters Jennifer LaTourneau and Amanda LaTourneau both of Marquette, Roberta (William) Jondreau of Baraga, Paula (Allan) Provost and Jennifer Fitch both of Lake Linden and Danielle (David) Coppo of Kearsarge; grandchildren Nevaeh, Dustin, Samantha, Wyatt, William, Steele, Makayala, and Eli; his mother Thelma LaTourneau of Marquette; his twin sister Christine LaTourneau of Marquette, sisters Diane (Jim) Sicotte of Marquette and Rose (Steve) Ehlers of Ishpeming; brothers Robert LaTourneau and Joseph LaTourneau both of Marquette; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ed was preceded in death by his father William; brother, Bill; and a nephew, Timmy.
