MUNISING - Three Alger County women will be added to the Alger County Women's Roll of Honor during a ceremony Thursday at the Alger County Heritage Center in Munising.

This year's enrollees include Evelyn Morrison of Grand Marais and Debra Fulcher and Lenore Schramm of Munising.

The ceremony is open to the public and is sponsored by Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. The heritage center is located at 1496 Washington St. in Munising. A social gathering begins at 5:30 p.m. with the program getting under way at 6 p.m.

The roll of honor recognizes Alger County women who have lead enriched lives through work, hobby, volunteerism or everyday living.

The Women of Honor Observance celebrates the passage of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which gave women the right to vote. The theme of this year's observance is, "Women Inspiring Innovation through Imagination."

This is the 19th year for the event.
