Kay was born in Marquette Michigan on December 16, 1937 and lived there until she answered the call to adventure by moving to New York City in 1959 to join her sister Barbara. Kay continued to live and work in New York raising her sons until she returned to Marquette to attend Northern Michigan Universities school of nursing (while in her 40's) Shortly after her graduation Kay joined her son's in Colorado Springs in 1982 and remained there for the remainder of her life. Kay was a very fun person to be around and had an infectious laugh that her family will never forget. She enjoyed cards, cooking gourmet meals, trips with her family and had a special fondness for the numerous dogs and cats she cared for throughout her life. Kay was a loyal wife and loving mother to her sons and daughters in law. She sacrificed much throughout her life so others would have an easier road than the one she chose to travel. We love you Kay and a piece of you will forever be in our hearts in the form of memories that we will pass down from one generation to the next. At Kay's request a private memorial service will take place at a later time.
