William C. Niepoth

ISHPEMING, Mich. - William C. Niepoth, age 62, of 803 N. Main St., Ishpeming, passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2013, at home surrounded by his loving family and friends while under the care of U.P. Home Health and Hospice.

William was born March 25, 1951 in Detroit, Mich., to Donald and Kathryn (Smith) Niepoth.

He was a graduate of Farmington High School and received a Bachelor's Degree from Northern Michigan University.

Bill moved to Denver, CO. where he worked in the financial field. In 1978 he moved back to Marquette. He had fallen in love with the area and was an avid hunter, skier and fisherman. He worked as a financial consultant. Later going to work as a business manager and vice president for Peninsula Sanitation Inc.

In 1982 he met and married Patricia Niepoth.

Bill is survived by his wife Patricia of Ishpeming, his children: Peter (Megan) Niepoth of Ishpeming, Molly (Kevin) Roussin of Negaunee, Kathryn (Nagabhushan) Das of East Lansing, MI. and Quinten Niepoth of Ishpeming and his favorite "little buddy" grandson Tallen Roussin of Negaunee. Bill is further survived by his sisters: Donna (Mel) Spotts of Carp Lake, MI., and Janice Thomure of Climax Springs, MO., brothers: Gary (Idallis) Niepoth of Denver, CO. and Curtis (Katherine) Niepoth of Parker, CO., along with his former wife, Laurie Yarmola of North Carolina and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother in law Dale Thomure.

Honoring Bill's wishes there will be private family services at a later date.
