Lynn Patrick Kovarik

SAINT JOSEPH, Mich. - Lynn Patrick Kovarik, 69, of 1575 Oak Terrace, Saint Joseph, MI 49085, died Monday, Aug. 12, 2013, at home in the care of his family.

He was raised in Ishpeming, graduated from Bishop Baraga High School in Marquette in 1961, attended Northern Michigan University where he was a member of Alpha Phi Omega.

Lynn worked as a "Morning Man" for WDMJ radio in the mid-'60s before moving to Detroit where he was driver of the "All Night Ride" on WCAR radio, eventually moving into radio news.

He retired from Cook Energy as a computer network supervisor in their Nuclear power operation in Bridgeman, MI.

Lynn is survived by his wife Sandy in St. Joseph and children Jonathan and Johanna, both of Denver Colorado and sisters and a brother. He was preceded in death by a son Brian.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 17 at the Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Services, St. Joseph, 269-556-9450.
