MANISTIQUE - Mike Nagy of Manistique will take a one-shot lead into today's final round of the Upper Peninsula Golf Association men's tournament at the Indian Lake Golf and Country Club in Manistique.
A sophomore at the University of Tennessee, Nagy carded a 71 Saturday to post a three-day 212 total in championship flight competition.
He leads Scott Lancour of Escanaba by one stroke. Lancour came in with a 71 Saturday.
Tim Drees of Menominee turned in the day's top score with a 70. At 216, he trails Nagy by three strokes.
Chris Rhoades of Marquette, (74, 222), Mark Clements of Ishpeming (83, 227) and defending champion Jim Markell of Iron Mountain (78, 227) follow.
"The course was set up at medium difficulty," tournament media relations coordinator John Lindroth said. "The course was immaculate and the wind was calm. The wind was a non-factor today, unlike (Friday)."
Action in the championship flight is scheduled to resume at 1:30 p.m. today.
