‘Empire Strikes Back’ at library

MARQUETTE - The Peter White Public Library's Film Club will hold a screening of the film "The Empire Strikes Back" at 1 p.m. Aug. 15 in the Community Room.

This fifth episode of the "Star Wars" film series stars Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker. As Luke trains with Master Yoda to become a Jedi Knight, his friends evade the Imperial fleet under the command of Darth Vader who is obsessed with turning Skywalker to the Dark Side of the Force.

The film was released in 1980, is rated PG and runs for 124 minutes. Light refreshments will be served.
