The Negaunee Historical Society recently received a $500 donation to help in the restoration of the Samuel Collins Log Cabin in the Old Town area near downtown Negaunee. The donation was made in memory of Margaret Collins Danielson, a granddaughter of Samuel and Hannah Collins, pioneer residents of the city and early owners of the cabin. The donation was made by Margaret’s children, David Danielson, Sally Danielson Zanetti and Madge Danielson Downing, They are shown with representatives of three organizations sponsoring the cabin project.
