MARQUETTE - The Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs announced its grant program workshop schedule for the Upper Peninsula in anticipation of projected funding increases for Fiscal Year 2014 program.:
Aug. 7 4 p.m., Eastern Upper Peninsula Regional Planning & Development Commission, Bayliss Library, 541 Library Drive, Sault Ste. Marie
Aug. 8 2 p.m., Copper Country Community Arts Council, 126 Quincy St. Hancock
Aug. 9 1 p.m., William Bonifas Fine Arts Center, 700 1st Ave. South, Escanaba
MCACA will offer grants through five programs: Program for Operations and Project Support, Capital Improvements, Arts in Education Residency, Mini-grants and New Leaders. Michigan nonprofit organizations, schools and municipalities are eligible to apply for projects that would take place between Jan. 1, 2014 and Sept. 30, 2014.
