NEGAUNEE - A highlight of this week's Negaunee City Band concert will be a xylophone solo, "Tico-Tico," by Andrew LaJoie, a Negaunee High graduate currently studying music at Central Michigan University.

The concert, scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, will be held at the Outdoor Performing Arts Center at the east end of Iron Street.

Numbers continuing the Latin American theme are "Cuban Holiday" and "Trumpet Tango." Other highlights include "Broadway Selections from The Lion King," "The Bells of St. Mary's," and "Themes Like Old Times." Marches this week are "The Dam Busters," "Americans We," "The Gateway City March," and Sousa's "Manhattan Beach." As usual, the concert will conclude with "Just a Closer Walk with Thee."
