Olivier, Ring, Ranta hit homers for Pen Bank

In the Junior League, Peninsula Bank shelled Cliff's Natural Resources, 27-4, in the first round of tournament play.

For Pen Bank, Sarah Olivier and Rylee Ring each hit a home run, while Brylea Ranta belted two.

Katie Popko and Chantel Woodbridge went 2-for-3 for Cliff's.

Pen Bank also drubbed Tru North Credit Union, 24-2, as Madison Pruett, Kaeleigh Talbacka and Lindsey Giraud all hit home runs.

For TruNorth, Dixie Nicholas and Alysha Nelson had hits and scored a run.

In the Senior League VFW defeated Dan Perkins, 13-5. Alyssa Bjork went 3-for-3 with a double, Lexy Johnson went 2-for-3 with two triples, and Kylee Taavola went 3-for-3.

Mullins Service outlasted VFW, 22-17. For Mullins, Samantha Richards went 5-for-6 with a triple and five RBIs, and Shana Caliguri went 5-for-6 with a triple and knocked in four runs.

For VFW, Annie Bjork went 2-for-3 with a home run; Johnson went 3-for-3 with a triple, a home run and three RBIs; and Mya Maanika went 2-for-3 with a double and a home run.

The Ishpeming Tri-Township Lions edged Dan Perkins, 19-18. Kinsie Bertucci hit two home runs - and Kayla Bertucci and Bree Ranta each added a homer - for the township.

For Perkins, Courtney Allen belted two home runs, Jordan Christian hit a triple and Cora Bleau added a triple.

Jubilee defeated Mullins, 18-3. For Jubilee, Emilee Lokken went 3-for-4 with two home runs and four RBIs, and Hannah Smith hit a home run.

For Mullins, Caliguri went 3-for-3 with a double and Richards went 3-for-3.

Woody's shaded Jubilee, 12-11, as Josie Moyle hit a game-winning three-run homer. For Jubilee, Hannah Smith recorded two doubles and Megan Luoma added a homer.

Woody's also defeated Dan Perkins, 14-7, with Karli Burke, Josie Moyle and Lilli Briggs recording three hits each.

For Perkins, Kassidy Pirkola slammed a triple and Lillee Martin posted a double.
