Emanuelson, Walter lead Jasper Ridge 1

In Class A play of the Iron Range Women's Softball League, Amber Emanuelson, who tripled and homered, and Lisa Walter each went 3 for 3 to lead Jasper Ridge Brewery 1 to a 14-2 win over Cliffs Natural Resources. Jasper's Kayla Holmes homered.

Jess Syrjala posted two hits for Cliffs.

PC Medic blasted Iracore, 21-4, behind four hits apiece by Elyssa Hallum, who had two doubles, and Megan Riley, who tripled.

Brittney Racine hit a double for the Iracore.

Dindy Cousineau went 4 for 4 and Amber Buckmaster added three hits - one a triple - to spark Buck's Party Store to a 16-1 victory over Fox Negaunee.

Annette Gleason had two hits and Katie Rankinen chipped in a triple for Fox.

Sister's edged Hickey's, 13-12, as Anna Dompierre had four hits and Linda Dompierre three. Rachel Gray and Caylie Gray both went 3 for 4 for Hickey's.

Amy Steele and Michelle Roberts had four hits each to spark Venice to a 25-7 win over Jubilee Foods. Loretta Waananen came up with two hits and Susie Rice added a triple for Jubilee.

Cliffs trimmed Hickey's, 16-15, behind three homers by Nicolette Schultz. Caylie Gray went 4 for 4 for Hickey's.

In Class B, U.P. Off Road & Performance smacked VFW, 32-14, behind four hits - three of them homers - by Jessica Stailey and five safeties by Jess Collins.

Sue Luokkala went 4 for 4 with a circuit clout for VFW.

Rachel Argall recorded three hits, including a double, and Jeanne Argall contributed two hits and four RBIs, as Tino's 2 stopped Crossfit 906, 14-11, despite four hits by Kim Koski and two by Lizzy VanBuren.

Jasper Ridge Brewery beat Jack's TeePee on a forfeit, and Signs Unlimited dropped Paradise Bar, 13-8, behind two hits each by Siiri Lawson and Becky Gauthier.

Sara Martin, who homered and tripled, and Lisa Niemi led Paradise with two hits apiece.

Kaylee Major and Danielle Peterson posted three hits apiece as Dave's Collision turned back Hair Hiatus, 17-10. Mitch Gray (double) and Katelyn Harrington both had three hits for the losers.

Rookie's Too/Quality Car Care shaded Pasquali's, 12-11, behind three hits apiece by Rhonda Williams and Penny Soucy. Cheryl Oliver had four hits and Tricia Miilu three for Pasquali's.

Amy Niemi recorded four hits, and teammates Jamee Gobert and Kari Getschow added homers, as Dave's Collision toppled Pasquali's, 19-10, though Shelly Young had three hits for the Pasquali's.

Tino's 2 stopped Signs Unlimited, 10-5, while U.P. Off Road & Performance beat Paradise by the same score. Stailey collected four hits and Collins three for the winners.

Liz Valela slammed a home run and Amy Santti contributed two doubles as Jasper Ridge Brewery 2 beat VFW, 8-4. Jen Ogea recorded three safeties and Luokkala two for VFW.

In Class C, Eastwood downed U.P. Fabricating 20-15, as Ellen Sundberg and Connie Schultz both homered. Jessica Noskey and Alyse Schaeffer hit homers for U.P. Fabricating.

Country Lanes clobbered Willey's Tire Shop, 19-2, behind 4-for-4 plate performances by Cassie Kudis, Kris LaForge and Jordan Wixtrom. Kudis and LaForge had homers, too.

Tor Powelson went 5 for 5 with two doubles, and Carley Mannika belted a homer to power Martin Sports Apparel to a 24-0 blanking of TruNorth Credit Union.

Rookie's 1 crushed Wooden Nickel, 30-8, behind a homer by Krista Squires. Whitney Brugman hit a triple and Francise Higgins a double for Wooden Nickel.

Becky Korpi smacked a triple as Palomaki Family Chiropractic outlasted the Negaunee Eagles, 16-4, despite homers by Amy Bazinette and Joy Prisk for the Eagles.

Wooden Nickel got two round trippers from Brugman in a 12-2 win over TruNorth Credit Union. Dana Carne had two hits for TruNorth.

Wixtrom smacked a homer as Country Lanes nipped Rookie's I, 6-4, in five innings. Christine Gutierrez hit a homer for Rookie's 1.
