The Mining Journal

MARQUETTE - Traffic passing through Marquette on U.S. 41 will be disrupted for a month and a half beginning Monday when a concrete repair project gets under way.

The Michigan Department of Transportation will be repairing the concrete roadway on 5 miles of U.S. 41 from the Carp River Bridge in the southern portion of the city of Marquette to Northwoods Road in Marquette Township.

The work will require lane closures and traffic shifts, although one lane of U.S. 41 will remain open in each direction at all times.
