MARQUETTE - Negaunee defeated Baraga 11-1 in five innings in Marquette on Monday afternoon to move into the finals of the winner's bracket in the Little League District 11 Minor Division tournament.
The Marquette Juniors won by the same score in their game against Portage Lake, though further information wasn't available.
Negaunee pitcher Tanner Peterson didn't allow a fair ball to be hit in his 3 1/3 innings, though he was charged with a run. Of the 13 batters he faced, he struck out 10, walks two and hit one batter.

Teammate Alex Munson struck out another four over the final 1 2/3 innings and completed the no-hitter.
On offense, Munson was 2 for 4 with a double, a walk and three runs scored, while teammate Will Luke had a double and single and Jackson Gladwell a double.
Negaunee takes on the Houghton-Hancock area's Portage Lake at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in Marquette for a berth in the championship round of the tournament.
PL dropped Calumet-based Keweenaw by the same 11-1 score as starting and winning pitcher Mason Mikesch struck out five and didn't allow a hit or a walk in three innings.
Chad Nordstrom relieved, giving up a hit to Keweenaw's Brandon LaVigne and run to Dean Loukus.
Mikesch also was 3 for 3 at the plate, while teammates Colin Cowell and Davin Hill each went 2 for 3. Mikesch, Cowell and Eli Larson all collected two RBIs.
