WESTLAND, Mich. - Dora Marie Woodbridge, 95, of Westland, Michigan, formerly of Marquette, passed away Saturday evening, June 29, 2013, at the Four Seasons Nursing Center in Westland.
She was born November 18, 1917 in Marquette, a daughter of the late Victor and Elmira (Lemire) Gingras and was a lifelong area resident.
Dora was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, the Altar Society and was a former member of the Daughters of Isabella. She was an avid bridge and pinochle player.
She is survived by a daughter, Dorothy A. (Richard) Nobert of Livonia, MI; two grandchildren, Janine Nobert of Phoenix, AZ & Joan Nobert of Westland; 5 great-grandchildren, Brittany Gamache, Spencer Blanchard, Troy, Damon and Carolyn Marie Watson; a great-great-grandchild, Aiden Gamache; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Thomas A. Woodbridge; brothers, Joseph & Alphonse Gingras; sisters, Marie Foye, Alma Morais and Delima Mantela.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, from 10 a.m. until 12 Noon in St. Michael Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Noon in the church with Rev. Larry VanDamme officiating. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery.
