Library to screen ‘Anna Karenina’

MARQUETTE - Summer Cinema at Peter White Public Library will present a screening of "Anna Karenina" at 5:30 p.m. June 18 in the Community Room.

This historical drama is set in late 19th century Russian high-society and powerfully explores the capacity for love that surges through the human heart, from the passion between adulterers to the bond between a mother and her children.

The 2012 film is based on the classic novel by Leo Tolstoy, rated R and runs for 130 minutes.

Attendees may bring their own takeout supper and enjoy a recently released feature film in a dinner theater setting.
