MARQUETTE, MI. - Cynthia Lea (Inch) Bur, 62, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 7, 2013. She entered eternal life at her son's home after battling a six-month illness, with her family and caregivers of Lake Superior Hospice by her side.
She was born in Marquette, the daughter of the late Rick and Pat Bur. A lifelong resident of Marquette, she graduated from Bishop Baraga High School in 1969 and was a graduate of Northern Michigan University. Cindy held a number of positions over the years, working most recently at Younkers and Flowerworks. She dedicated the last 15 years of her life to provide daycare for her grandsons, whom she adored.
Cindy is survived by her son John (Lisa) Inch of Marquette; grandsons Bailey and Dylan Inch; sisters Paula Bur (Neal Thoma) of Marquette, Connie (Jerry) Dobrzenski of Crystal Falls, and Mary (Fred) Sonderegger of California; brothers Richard (Roni) Bur of Marquette, and Michael (Laura) Bur of Arizona; several nieces and nephews; and special friends Phil Niemesto, Myrtle and Bill Matthews, all of Marquette.

Friends may call at St. Michael Catholic Church in Marquette on Tuesday, June 11, 2013, beginning at 10:00 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the church Tuesday at 12:00 noon with Rev. Larry Van Damme as celebrant.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to Cancer Care of Marquette County or Lake Superior Hospice Association.
