MARQUETTE - Brendan Higbie hit a two-run single in the bottom of the sixth inning Tuesday to give the Marquette Senior High School baseball team to a 3-2 win over visiting Norway and a split in a doubleheader.
In the first game, the Knights edged MSHS, 3-2.
Norway had taken a 2-1 lead in the fifth in the nightcap before Higbie's clutch hit.
"We were struggling to get people (in to score) all game long," Marquette manager Todd Koski said after his team had ended the regular season with an 8-15 record. "Higbie hit his single up the middle on a 1-2 count.
"The kids battled hard and battled through four errors."
