ESCANABA - Plum Creek recently awarded scholarships to four Marquette County high school students.

HOLLINSHEAD

Hollinshead recently attended the Business Professionals of America State Leadership conference and was awarded a bronze medal in insurance concepts.

She is the daughter of Robert and Charlette Hollinshead.

In high school she participated in National Honor Society, Excellence in Education and won the Michigan school district math prize competition.

Davis has received four consecutive Student of the Year Awards in both math and science.

She is the daughter of Jerry and Patti Davis.

In high school he was involved Boy Scouts, served the state as the Mackinac Island Governor's Honor Guard and received Eagle Scout designation.

Hill also participated in National Honor Society, Key Club and Superior Pipes & Drums.

He is the son of Bert and Carol Hill.

In high school she was active in tennis, basketball, softball and skiing and was named to All U.P. and All State Tennis teams.

Massie served as student council co-president and was involved in Key Club, ACTion Troupe, Youth Advisory Council and her church youth group.

She is the daughter of John and Lois Massie.

Plum Creek annually awards scholarships to exemplary high school students who plan to continue their education after graduation.

Students are recognized based on their academic achievements, participation in school and community activities and overall achievement in their high school careers.

Plum Creek's community scholarships have been offered in selected operating states since 2007. This year, Plum Creek awarded 123 scholarships totaling $153,000 to high school seniors around the country. In Michigan, eight students received scholarships totaling $8,000.
