Depression talk at Peter White

MARQUETTE - As the final presentation for Your Mind Matters, in recognition of May as Mental Health Awareness month, Carol Gamber, a psychiatrist with Marquette General Behavioral Health, will discuss managing depression from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday in the Peter White Public Library in the Community Room.

Gamber will explain strategies to manage the symptoms of depression, promote positive thinking, alleviate stress and boost self-esteem.

Attendees may bring their own lunch or buy from the library cafe. Admission is free and no preregistration is required.

Your Mind Matters is a community dialogue on mental health issues sponsored by a coalition of community groups and the Peter White Public Library.
