NEGAUNEE - Kyle Saari is happy with the way his Negaunee High School boys tennis team played Tuesday and there's no reason he shouldn't be.
His Miners blanked visiting Gladstone, 8-0, to raise their season record to 8-2-1.
"We put together a pretty complete day, which is what you want to do this time of year," the NHS head coach said.

"Gladstone only has 12 kids, but they play hard and they're improving."
There was but one three-setter on the day, that being at No. 1 doubles where Doug Lindblom and Nick Martin rallied to post a 4-6, 6-1, 6-4 triumph over Tyler Wells and Jeremy Kadish.
Saari also noted his No. 2 doubles unit of Anthony Moyle and Stephen Trawick, which beat Spencer Pederson and Jake Krjala, 6-0, 6-3.
