Volunteers needed for tending

MARQUETTE - The Marquette County Conservation District is looking for volunteers to help tend the Trestle Corridor Native Plants Garden, located along the bike path between Fourth and Fifth streets in downtown Marquette (behind Little Caesar's Pizza).

Some of the garden chores include weeding, planting, learning about the care of native plants and sprucing up the garden along the path. Volunteers are needed from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesdays beginning May 15. Refreshments will be provided. For more information, call the conservation district at 226-2461 ext 102.

No experience is necessary. Dress for an outdoor workday.
