Construction students win NMU competition

High school students from the Dickinson-Iron Tech Center team No. 1 recently won the seventh annual Upper Peninsula Construction Skills Challenge held at Northern Michigan University Jacobetti Center. Members of the team include, from left, student Kevin LeClaire, para-professional Doug Hill, students Logan Nord, Andrew Pollock, Ted Pineau and Jake Pearce and instructor Robert Jayne. The team edged out the second-place team from Ontonagon High School while Dickinson-Iron Tech Center's team No. 2 earned bronze medals for their third-place finish.
