ESCANABA - Munising had the top boys and girls teams from the area at the Escanaba National Bank & Trust Invitational high school golf meet held at the Escanaba Country Club on Thursday.
The Mustangs and Marquette tied for fourth in the boys meet with 348, though Munising's fifth golfer, Mike Mannisto, had a better score than Marquette's fifth as a tiebreaker. Negaunee came in seventh with 366.
Norway won the meet with 337 and had the medalist with Austin Hansen shooting 77.

The best among area golfers was the Redmen's Brett Specker with 83. Izaak Mahoski of Munising and Scott Frazier of Marquette had 85, while Negaunee was paced by David Renaldi with 87.
For the girls, Munising finished third with 452, Negaunee fifth with 553 and Marquette didn't post a team score.
But the Redettes had the medalist with Avery Rochester shooting 85, seven strokes better than anyone else.
Munising got a 96 out of Carla Nottmeier whiel Negaunee had 115 from Leisl Flannery.
