MARQUETTE - Due to a water main break during the East Washington Street reconstruction project, city residents may experience air and discoloration in the water.
The city's department of public works said residents may need to run taps to let out any air or flush out discoloration resulting from the water main break.
Grit may also build up in aerators at the ends of faucets, reducing flow. Aerators can be cleaned by removing and tapping them to loosen grit.
If discoloration or low water flow continues, residents can contact the DPW at 228-0444.
