Groundbreaking for new Jamrich

MARQUETTE - Northern Michigan University will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the new John X. Jamrich Hall at 11 a.m. Thursday on the west side of C.B. Hedgcock. The public is welcome.

NMU President David Haynes and Board of Trustees Chairwoman Garnet Lewis will deliver opening remarks. Also present for the shovel ceremony will be Gene Carroll, a partner with Neumann/Smith Architecture; Tim Kippenhan, vice president of Miron Construction; Amber Lopota, ASNMU student body president; and Luke Oberdorfer, NMU graduate student.
