MARQUETTE - The FC (Superiorland Soccer Association) Marquette Blur won the U18 boys division of the Superior Dome Soccer Tournament the weekend of April 12-14 with a 2-0-1 record.

Goakeeper Paul Freisen led the way by allowing no goals in the three games. The Blue beat UP United (UPFA), 2-0, and Ashwaubenon, Wis., 4-0, while tying Vardar Northern Michigan of downstate Boyne Falls, 0-0.

Defensive back play by Joe Weber, Estin Potvin, Alex Brown, Mike Wiitala, Brett Kurzawa and Michael Mlsna kept the pressure on Freisen to a minimum all weekend.
