MARQUETTE - Amanda Blondeau, director of the Northern Initiatives Business Advancement Center in Marquette, was recently chosen to participate in the Emerging Leaders in Microbusiness Squared program.

Run by the Aspen Institute and Capital One, the ELMS is a new program aimed at increasing the quality of talent for aspiring and disadvantaged entrepreneurs.

Participants in the program were chosen through an application process in which they proposed a leadership project that they will engage in throughout the duration of the fellowship.

The program is made possible through a $165,000 contribution from the Capital One Foundation.
