LIVONIA, Mich. - Byron A. White, 90, former Negaunee resident, died March 30, 2013.
Byron was born August 8, 1922, in Negaunee to Alphonse and Laura (Gauthier) White and attended Negaunee St. Paul High School. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp, having served as a tech sergeant during WWII. Mr. White was employed with the Barton Malow Construction Co., retiring in 1987.
Byron was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Livonia and attended St. Paul Catholic Church while in Negaunee. He was a kind and loving man who lived life to the fullest. He loved spending time with family, and will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Surviving are 2 daughters: Ann (Earl) Gilson and Mary Lamb; 7 grandchildren: Stacy (Victor) Evanoff, Amy (David) Ciavaglia, Robert White, Melissa White, Melanie (Peter) Gibson, Kelly Lamb and Casey Lamb; 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Edna (Hill) White on Sept. 8, 1999; a son, Robert White; 2 sisters: Florence (Joseph) Sedlock and Beatrice (Barney) Meli; and an infant brother.
Interment will be in the Negaunee Cemetery.
