Recyclable collection in Chatham

April 9, 2013
The Mining Journal

CHATHAM - Au Train and Superior Corners 4-H Clubs and the Superior Central Chapter of the National Honor Society will hold their semi-annual collection of recyclable materials from 8-10 a.m. Saturday at the MSU Experimental Station in Chatham.

Club members will be collecting newspapers and magazines (pack in paper bags, boxes or bind with twine), corrugated cardboard (bind with twine or pack in a larger box), No. 1 and No. 2 plastics (clean and sorted, each type in a separate bag or box), tin and aluminum cans (clean and sorted, each type in a separate bag or box). The clubs ask that local residents bring their materials in containers that can be left, such as paper or plastic bags, to facilitate on-site sorting. No glass can be accepted at this time, and there will be no early drop-offs allowed.

For more information, call 439-1551.
