Hubbard works in DeVos exhibit

MARQUETTE - The DeVos Art Museum at Northern Michigan University will open a retrospective exhibit of a faculty member titled "John Hubbard: Looking Back" on Monday. A reception is scheduled from 6-8 p.m., April 4. The public is invited free of charge.

The exhibit features paintings, drawings and works on paper made by Hubbard over the course of his career. There will be a concurrent exhibition at the museum featuring artwork made by former students of Hubbard from various points in his career. Hubbard joined the NMU faculty in 1969.

The exhibit will run through July 7. The DeVos Art Museum is located at the corner of Tracy Avenue and Seventh Street.

Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday; noon to 8 p.m. Thursday and 1-4 p.m. on weekends. For more information, visit nmu.edu/DeVos.
