NEGAUNEE, Mich. - Leatryce Bernice Fosco, 84, formerly of 310 Lincoln St., Negaunee, died peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, March 17, 2013, at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility where she had been a patient for 4 years. She had been in ill health for 6 years.
Leatryce was born July 3, 1928, in Laurium, the only child of Eva Nordstrom. She spent her childhood in Copper City. At age 21 she married George Fosco of Negaunee. Together they raised 3 children.
Leatryce held a variety of jobs in her younger years. Most of all she enjoyed being with her family, traveling, playing bingo and going to the casinos.
Surviving are her children: Dennis (Nancy) Fosco, Candy (Glenn) Hintsala, and Gary (Terrie) Fosco, all of Negaunee; six grandchildren: Chad (Stephanie) Hintsala, Shelly (Bud) Aho, Kelly (Dave) Varda, Kimi (Brent) Steinberg, David and Kyle Fosco; 10 great-grandchildren: Megan, Autumn, and Tyler Hintsala, Brock and Maci Aho, Nicholas and Nathan Varda, and Avery, Addison, and Beckett Steinberg; one aunt, Dorothy Normand of Tucson, Ariz.; one sister-in-law, Betty Fosco of Negaunee; and her very loving companion and best friend for over 16 years, Chester Masters. She was preceded in death by her mother, her stepfather Raymond Geyer, and her husband, George M. Fosco on November 3, 1984.
