The weather has been decidedly sunny the past two days, which might turn folks' fancies to the thoughts of a shiny car, truck, sports-utility vehicle or van.
Which means for them, there's no place like the dome this weekend for this afternoon is the start of the annual 2013 U.P. Car Sale at Superior Dome in Marquette.
This largest car sale in the Upper Peninsula begins at 3 p.m. today until 8 p.m., then again from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
More than 500 new and pre-owned vehicles will be under the dome roof for the exploration of interested automotive buyers.
Vehicles won't be the only thing for shoppers to check out, however. Vendors featuring all sorts of accessories will be on hand.
And both admission and parking are free, so people can bring the whole family to peruse the enormous selection of potential new wheels.
Food and refreshments will be on sale, which adds to the event's appeal.
We believe this a great time to think about investing in a new or nearly-new van, SUV, truck or car. Winter's almost gone, bringing pleasure back to driving for those who fear the sometimes icy U.P. roads.
Many vehicles have great gas mileage, always a concern for budget-conscious families.
We hope people from around the U.P. flock to the Superior Dome this weekend to take a gander at that dream vehicle which would look great in your driveway... a sure sign of spring.
