NEGAUNEE TOWNSHIP, Mich. - Clara Jean Rilley, age 81, of Negaunee Township, entered eternal life Friday, March 8, 2013, at Marquette General Hospital as a result of heart failure.
Clara was born June 24, 1931, in Marquette to Alphonse and Clara Richer. Clara enjoyed life and loved spending time with her family and friends and she had the gift of being able to make everyone around her smile. Outside of her family she loved her pets, loved going to camp, playing bingo, going to the casino, traveling, her birthdays and was an avid Detroit Red Wings fan.
Survivors include her five children, Deborah (Larry) Croschere of Iron Mountain, Michael (Jonnell) Rilley of Ishpeming, Robert Rilley of Negaunee Township, Thomas (Ressa) Rilley of Buchanan Dam, TX and Joseph (Alisha) Rilley of Corpus Christi, TX; seven grandchildren, Christine, Jennifer (Rodney) Burns, Lawrence, Jr., Megan, Matthew, Joseph, Jr. and Tatum; three great-grandchildren, Dominic, Elijah and Ethan; five brothers; one sister; her best friend, Ted Boesler and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Leonard; two sisters, Denise and Mary and her husband, Edward Rilley.
Friends may call at St. Christopher Catholic Church on Friday March 15, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the church on Friday at 12:00 pm with the Rev. Jeff Johnson officiating.
