MARQUETTE - Junior Erik Soderman of the Northern Michigan University nordic ski team was named an All-American for the second time in his collegiate career after his 10th-place finish Thursday in the men's 10-kilometer classic race at the NCAA Championships in Ripton, Vt.
Soderman crossed the line in a time of 26:56. He won the 10K freestyle at last year's championships.
Freshman Mary Kate Cirelli was the top Wildcat on the women's side with a 15th-place finish in the 5K classic.

On the men's side, sophomore Kyle Bratrud finished 23rd in 27:36.6 and junior George Cartwright was 33rd at 28:16.2.
Junior Jordyn Ross placed 23rd (16:39.8) and junior teammate Rosie Frankowski finished two places back (16:43.7) to round out the top 25 in the women's race.
The 'Cats continue competition on Saturday in the freestyle events, with action available to be seen online at NCAA.com.
