MARQUETTE - A Wisconsin man charged with homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle in the crash that killed an Ishpeming teenager in October may enter a plea deal Monday.
Timothy C. Christ, 28, of Wausaukee, Wis., is charged in Marinette County, Wis., with eight counts in connection with a two-car accident in Middle Inlet, Wis., that resulted in the death of 13-year-old Christopher Croley, of Ishpeming.
Croley's mother Jodi Betts Croley was driving and was injured in the crash, as were his two sisters, Taylor and Gabrielle Croley.
According to court documents, witnesses said a black truck, allegedly driven by Christ, left a bar parking lot at about 11:30 p.m. on Oct. 5. With no lights on, the truck allegedly traveled north in a southbound lane and hit the Croley vehicle head on.
Christ's plea hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday in Marinette County Circuit Court.
If a plea is not entered, Christ is scheduled for a pre-trial conference on March 25, with a jury trial set to begin in early April.
