Library to screen 'Princess Bride'

MARQUETTE - The Peter White Public Library Junior Teen Advisory Board will present "Princess Bride" at noon Wednesday in the library's Community Room as part of the Middle School Mid-day Movies series on Marquette Area Public School early-release days.

Library hosting used book sale

ISHPEMING - The Friends of the Carnegie Public Library in Ishpeming will hold a used book sale from 10 a.m. to noon March 2 in the Margaret Dundon Reading Room of the library. Paperback books sell for 25 cents, hardcover books for 50 cents.

Anyone wishing to donate books for the sales may do so during regular library hours. Works of fiction and nonfiction are solicited, as well as children's books. Certain items are not acceptable; check with a librarian when bringing in used books.

Teddy Bear picnic at library

MARQUETTE - Peter White Public Library Youth Services Department will hold a Teddy Bear Picnic and Family Read-In from 2 to 3 p.m. March 3 in the library's Community Room. There will be crafts, treats and a teddy bear giveaway.

Participants may bring their own picnic blanket and snacks. For more information, call 226-4320 or stop by the Children's Room boat desk.
