Earl E. Goldsworthy

SPREAD EAGLE, Wis. - Earl E. Goldsworthy, 78, of Spread Eagle, died Sun. Feb. 17, 2013 at Freeman Nursing and Rehabilitation Community. He was born on Aug. 4, 1934 in Detroit, the son of the late Edward Goldsworthy and the late Helen (Nyquist) Perttunen.

Earl served in the National Guard. He worked as an electrical contractor for MJ Electric in Iron Mountain and Energy Erectors in Florida. Earl married Jeanne Perttunen on Aug. 27, 1955 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Marquette.

He enjoyed playing with his family on any of his many toys, including boats, kayaks, jet skis, four wheelers, kayaks, motorcycles, and snowmobiles.

Earl is survived by his wife Jeanne, five children Michael (Signe Hunter) Goldsworthy of Seattle, Margaret (Terry) Goettler of Lake Stevens, WA, Christine (Tim Cullen) Goldsworthy of Milwaukee, Linda (John Zehren) Goldsworthy of Seattle, and Robert (Adriana) Goldsworthy of Breitung Twp, three brothers Dennis (Pat) Goldsworthy of Gwinn, Timothy (Lois) Goldsworthy of Gwinn, and Jack Noguess of Gwinn, two sisters Kathryn (Gordon) Jarvis of Orlando, Fl, and Clare (Greg) Lutgen of La fayette, IN, two step brothers James (Karen) Perttunen of Marquette and Jerry (Mary Ann) Perttunen of Gibraltar, MI, eleven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow Friday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Lee Liverance will officiate.
