ESCANABA -Marquette General Medical Oncologist Santosh Gowda, MD, has successfully completed the requirements for certification in hospice and palliative care from the American Board of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
This certification enhances Dr. Gowda's expertise in providing endoflife care and comfort to patients with advanced illnesses.
Dr. Gowda, who also is board certified in internal medicine, hematology and medical oncology, joined Marquette General Hematology/Oncology - Escanaba in 2009. He completed his fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin, and completed his residency at the University of Florida. He also earned his master's degree in medical sciences with research in molecular genetics and microbiology at the University of Florida, and earned his Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery at Bangalore Medical College in India.
