CURTIS - The Erickson Center for the Arts in Curtis recently received a $1,048 grant from The Arts & Humanities Touring Program, a joint collaboration of the Michigan Humanities Council and Michigan Council for Arts & Cultural Affairs.
Michigan non-profit organizations can apply for touring program grants to host humanities programming featuring Michigan artists and musicians.
The Touring Program grant will be used to present the Boogie Woogie Babies on Aug. 4 at the Erickson Center. The national touring group features three of west Michigan singers - Mary Rademacher, Barbara Wisse and Francesca Amari - with pianist Mark Kahny.
The trio will perform its "Boogie, Beehive & Beyond" show featuring songs and harmonies from well-known female groups and singers.
