Electricians tie, lose in Madison

MADISON, Wis. - The Marquette Electricians tied Shattuck St. Mary's 2-2 at the Madison, Wis., Tournament on Friday morning before losing to the Thunder Bay, Ontario, Kings 3-0 later in the day.

The Local 1070 Midget AAA team trailed Shattuck 2-1 after one period before scoring the tying goal in the third. Marquette goals were scored by Torrin Grange and Ethan St. Germain, with assists going to Dustin Goupille and Eric Chapman.

The Electricians' Adam Ranck stopped 37 shots to keep his team in the game, including all 13 he faced in both the second and third periods. His teammates, meanwhile, came up with 21 shots on goal.

Against the Kings, Bryce Leaf made 23 saves in goal for Marquette, with the Kings scoring twice in the first period and once in the second.

Marquette is now 8-26-10 this season.
