MARQUETTE - What has become an annual hockey rivalry will benefit the Upper Peninsula Children's Museum and local students in need on Saturday evening at Lakeview Arena in Marquette.
Marquette Senior High School will face the Marquette Electricians Local 1070 Midget AAA team at 7 p.m.
The museum will receive 10 percent of proceeds from ticket sales and a 50-50 raffle being held during the game.
In addition, the Marquette West Rotary and Marquette Rotary will hold a hat and mitten toss during the first intermission, and Marquette Junior Hockey Mites players will help gather donated items for distribution to area schools for students in need.
Sports prints and memorabilia will be offered during a silent auction, while the MSHS pep band and varsity dance and figure skating teams will entertain.
After the game, the Olson Cup will be presented by Bruce Olson on behalf of the Olson family, which has a long tradition of supporting Marquette-area hockey.
Admission is free for fans 5 years and under and 60 and over, $5 for all others. No passes will be accepted.
