Hancock, St. Ignace win in 2nd round of NMU TV 13 High School Bowl

St. Ignace High School defeated Gwinn High School 210 to 180 in the second round of Northern Michigan University Public TV 13 High School Bowl. Representing Gwinn, seated from left, are players Kacy Cannon, Erik Flinn, captain Mitchell Paris and Ben Hafer. Standing are alternate Erica Sanford and coach Shaun Clark. Players for St. Ignace are, seated from left, Molly Paquin, captain Wyatt Orm, Jacob Sjogren and Andrew Sjogren. Standing are alternate Jaici Shiemke and coach Patricia Lannin. High School Bowl host G.G. Gordon is standing at lower left. Forty schools from the Upper Peninsula field teams for the High School Bowl tournament, now celebrating 35 years on the air. Running from November through the championship game in April, the High School Bowl series airs on Public TV 13 at 8 p.m. Saturdays and noon Mondays at noon.
