Killer Whale swimmers collect high-point trophies in Sturgeon Bay, Wis.

STURGEON BAY, Wis. - Eight-year-old swimmers Delany Marchiol and Hannah Winn collected high-point trophies at the Door County Hawaiian Meet on Jan. 12 in Sturgeon Bay, Wis.

Marchiol, who won the 100-yard individual medley in 1 minute, 35.91 seconds, was second in the 50 freestyle (37.88) and 25 breaststroke (24.45), was the second highest individual point earner for the meet. She also placed third in the 25 backstroke (21.27).

Winn was third for the meet in total points in the girls 8 and under age group. She won the 25 butterfly (20.56), was second in the 25 free (17.59) and earned third in the 50 free (40.56).

Killer Whales who earned a top three finishes in an individual event were: Nathan Brown (100 breaststroke, 1:26.25), Lauren Clement (200 butterfly, 2:54.12)), Ryan Glover (100 backstroke, 1:18.16); Ben Luke (200 backstroke, 2:30.26); Lauren Rotundo (200 breaststroke, 2:57.27); Daniel Schouten (25 butterfly, 24.09); Colin Vanderschaaf (25 backstroke, 22.09 and 50 free, 37.73) and Jayme Winn (50 backstroke, 42.56).

The YMCA of Marquette swim team competes next in the Marquette Novice meet today before traveling to Menominee for competition on Jan. 26.
