NEGAUNEE - Nate Clisch scored twice and added an assist to power the Negaunee High School hockey team to a 4-2 win over visiting L'Anse Thursday night.
Chad Larson added a goal and two assists, while teammate Michael Farley chipped in a goal and an assist for Negaunee (3-12).
"We played a great game," Miners coach Eric Hill said. "Everyone on the ice played their best game of the season so far.
"We came out with some intensity and shut down L'Anse's top line. Our young guys are starting to play like upperclassmen."
Tyler Polich and Zack Hulkkonen notched goals for the Purple Hornets.
Jason Rank made 31 saves in goal for L'Anse. Tyler Riutta came up with 23 stops for Negaunee.
