HARVEY, MI - Nancy E. Love, age 71, of Harvey, entered eternal life Thursday, December 27, 2012, at Marquette General Hospital.

Nancy was born November 26, 1941 in Detroit, a daughter of Allen and Edith (Suffron) LaFreniere. She moved to Marquette, graduating from the Graveraet High School, and then entered Northern Michigan University, pursuing a career in nursing. She received her Licensed Practical Nurse's certification and worked for a time at the former St. Mary's Hospital. She was a dedicated, caring, and devoted professional who gave all she had to patient care. In 1973, Nancy converted to Catholicism, taking membership at St. Louis the King Catholic Church in Harvey. Possessing a lifelong love of animals, Nancy started a dog grooming business in 1991 and her reputation as a fine groomer quickly spread. She was happy that her business activities of grooming were also one of favorite hobbies, along with gardening, and being a talented cook. Nancy was a very natural, upfront and honest person who had a genuine way of dealing with people she interacted with. She loved her family unconditionally and had a very special relationship with her husband, who will remain her best friend until forever ends.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 50 1/2 years; John A. Love, whom she married May 5, 1962; her two sons, Jeffrey (Nicole) Love of San Francisco, CA and Andrew (Andria) Love of Haymarket, VA; five grandchildren, J.T, Sabrina, Alaina, Kieran and Katie Beth; and her sister, Susan (Hank) Elder of Indianapolis, IN.
